Benefits of a Water Fountain
Over the past ten years or so water fountains have almost become a craze... More indoor and outdoor water fountains are available now in more choices of styles, sizes, colors, and materials than ever before. Add the magic of the sound of water to your living room, office, foyer or desk.
One benefit of having an indoor water fountain is that it adds humidity to the air in your home keeping out the dry air and static electricity in those dry winter months. Humidity in the air is also good for the plants and your health. Moisture in the air helps keep the mucous membranes moist and relieves dry throat.
Indoor water fountains and wall water fountains can be the focal point in your home. Wall fountains are another option if you’re looking to purchase a fountain, but don’t want it standing on the floor and in the way of others. They can be easily put up on any wall and can take the place of an expensive piece of art. If you’re looking to make a statement with your water fountain, look into a floor water fountain to create a bigger focal point in the desired room.
Invite nature into the backyard by adding birdhouses, birdbaths, bird feeders, outdoor water fountains, and flowers. Flowers and water fountains also attract birds, hummingbirds and butterflies. There is something serene and tranquil about the sound of water. Also will provide relaxation and entertainment for hours.
Aromatherapy for your home. A tiny drop of your favorite essential oil can be dispersed throughout a room by a water fountain.

Make Your Own Outdoor Water Fountain or Water Garden
One of the most relaxing sounds is the sound of running water. It relaxes the mind and helps the body to unwind. In the city, it can drown out the sounds of traffic and the everyday noises of the city.
Some small water features have still water and aquatic plants, but stagnant water is where mosquitoes can breed, so many people now prefer items with moving water.
The most popular water fountains today are tabletop fountains, indoor or outdoor water fountains, wall water-fountains and spitting creatures. These fountains all rely on a pump to circulate the water through the feature. The water is pumped up through a plastic tubing and released into the fountain, returning to the bottom where it is pumped up the tubing again. Most pumps run on an electrical connection, but some smaller tabletop fountains run on batteries. There are also solar units available now that require no electricity or batteries.
If you are going to make a water fountain feature, you need the following elements:
A "bottom" where the pump where will be located and the water returns. This can be a large pot, an urn, a trough and so on.
A "top" from which the water will emerge. This can be a small pot, a frog, a conch shell, an cherub. Anything that water can run through.
A "middle" the water course which will receive the water from the top and return it to the bottom. This can be pots, pebbles, shells, marbles, or even an empty space.
A pump. Give particular attention to two features of the pump: Maximum gallons per hour (gph) and the maximum lift.
Add some aquatic plants and flowers around your water garden and now you have a visual affect to go with your relaxing water sound. You can also add some goldfish to your pond and you are ready to relax and enjoy!

Feng Shui Aromatherapy
Always wondered why some people are financially successful? Invite money and success into your life. In Feng Shui aromatherapy, it is important to bring the energy of the body into balance with nature, and clarify the mind, body and soul. The Chinese have been using aromatics, or aromatherapy, dating back to 2,700 BC, so they may have been one of the first cultures to use aromatic plants for good-health, and create harmony, balance, and prosperity.
Aromatherapy is a very important part of Feng Shui. It is used to remove negative chi (energy) from your space as well as provide therapy.
Using a spray bottle with water, put 10 -15 drops of your favorite essence and spray into all four corners and the center of the room. This will clear negative energies for both you and the whole room. And when your home is clear of negative energies, you will feel better and attract money.

General Care For Indoor Water Fountains
For indoor water fountains the most important thing you can do is always use distilled water. Otherwise, the calcium and minerals from your water will cause a build-up in the pump and on the water fountain.
For outdoor water fountains you can use standard water to fill the reservoir, but always make sure you are also using some type of water clarifier or algae preventer to reduce any type of build-up of algae or lime. Never let your pump run dry. This causes the pump to burn out quickly. Depending on your climate and whether your water fountain is indoors or outdoors the evaporation rate will dictate how often you need to refill your fountain.

Adding Water To Your New Water Fountain
One thing you will want to avoid is running a water fountain pump without enough water...this will burn out the pump. So refilling a water fountain is an important point to keep it working well! When you start to use a new water fountain, notice how much water evaporates and how frequently you will need to add more water.
Benefits of a Water Fountain
Over the past ten years or so water fountains have almost become a craze... More indoor and outdoor water fountain models are available in more choices of styles, sizes, colors, and materials than ever before! Outdoor water fountains are increasingly called for in residential developments, parks, even children’s playgrounds. Municipalities are incorporating water fountains in high-traffic locations. The sounds from a water fountain are relaxing, serene and peaceful. Everyone loves water fountains!
Placement of an Indoor Water Fountain
There are several factors to consider when you decide where to place your new water fountains. While water fountains are engineered to minimize splash, there will always be an occasional spritz or two and you want your floors to be able to weather this… For this reason, we recommend that floor and wall fountains be placed over flooring that will not easily be damaged by water. Fine wood floors or carpeting are not ideal for fountain placement.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy has become a household word! A tiny droplet of your favorite essential oil can be dispersed subtlely throughout a room by an indoor water fountain.
Water Fountain Care and Cleaning
Because various fountain manufacturers use different materials to make their water fountains, some include specific cleaning instructions relevant to their products. Follow these instructions closely (they are usually fairly simple) and you will enjoy your indoor or outdoor water-fountain for a long time!
